When you signed up for the Office Live Small Business service so long ago, you may have used an ID account that isn't your primary e-mail account anymore.

Many people create a second user account with a more convenient e-mail address and then use that new ID to log into Office Live Small Business on a regular basis.

While convenient, this is problematic. There are features that only an owner can use/see:

Notifications of potential Domain Name expiration dates

Add or cancel services

Password resets

View/edit capabilities on all users

Account cancellation

Test your login

Have you ever seen this screen? If so, you are not logged in as the Account Owner.

To check whether you are currently logged in as an owner, follow these steps:

On the Home page of your account, click the Account Management link in the Manage Your Office Live Account section

Click on the Users & Permissions link in the left-hand navigation panel

If you see the e-mail address you are currently using and it says "Owner" in the permissions column, then you are the owner.

If you cannot access this section of the account - you are not the account owner.

If you don't see the word "Owner" on this page - you are not the account owner.

If you are not the account owner, we do not show you the ID of the account owner. Only the account owner can view all of the users. If your account was set up prior to February 2008, then your owner ID likely contains the name of your custom domain.
